APPLICATION PERIOD EXTENDED UNTIL JANUARY 15, 2021! MAKE A SUBMISSION TO THE BIOECONOMY AWARDS!
The Ministry of Agriculture & Food is currently organising the 2020-2021 Bioeconomy Awards, for the 3rd year in a row. The event recognises projects within the sector that commercialise diverse ways of exploiting bioresources able to replace fossil carbon.
Three categories of biosourced products have been established for the awards: bioenergy, biosourced materials and bio-based chemistry. The application period has been extended … You have until January 15, 2021 to apply!
PROJECT SELECTION CRITERIA
The objectives of the 2020-2021 Bioeconomy Awards are as follows:
- To promote sector initiativesby recognising projects that create value, from the producer to the processor;
- To raise public awareness about the bioeconomyand encourage participation:by buying biosourced products, the public can help to significantly reduce the use of fossil carbon and to promote the high-performance levels of innovative products;
To demonstrate that the bioeconomy is a market reality: the awards recognise successful biosourced solutions that meet market needs. The awards therefore show that the commercialisation of biomass can offer tangible solutions to the everyday needs of us all, accompanied by high-performance technical functionalities.
THE AWARDS PROCEDURE
The process is based on an initial regional selection followed by a national selection from among the regional winners.
